May We Help

May We Help is a game-changer for people with disabilities who are striving to become more independent or pursue a passion. First and foremost, they are a team of volunteers. Sometimes, a device is all that stands in the way of an individual with a disability achieving independence or pursuing their passion. When that device is not available in the marketplace, that’s when May We Help’s volunteers step in.

May We Help consists of 75 volunteer engineers, industrial designers, inventors, welders, woodworkers, seamstresses, doctors, occupational and physical therapists who come together to design, build and deliver custom devices at no cost to hundreds of recipients every year.

The Bridge: Adaptive Sports & Recreation

The Bridge Adaptive Sports and Recreation was founded in 2020 by a unique team of medical professionals, community advocates and athletes who over the years have bonded together through a mutual goal: to eliminate the barriers to participating in physical activity in our community.

Their mission is to increase awareness and promote opportunities for individuals to participate in adaptive sports and recreation in order to improve their quality of life.

Their vision is to create a community where people regardless of ability can fully participate in competitive and leisure activities.

Boltz to Nutz Farm

Boltz to Nutz Farm is the creation of Yvonne and Eric Boltz, their adult children and numerous loved ones, volunteers and dedicated employees. Born out of tragedy and hope, Boltz to Nutz seeks to be a source of healing and of solid ground for those who suffer.

In 2015 Eric and Yvonne’s lives were upended when Eric was struck by a negligent motorist and left paralyzed from the chest down while on an after-work training ride. From severe spasms (aka “spasticity”) and 24/7 severe neuropathic pain emanating from the damaged spinal cord to the realities of managing paralyzed bodily functions, Eric, like many paraplegics, found conventional drug therapies both lacking in efficacy and burdened by unacceptable side-effects such as severe sedation. That’s when Eric and Yvonne began their journey developing natural supplement remedies for many of these spinal cord injury symptoms, remedies which work on a wide range of maladies affecting both disabled and able-bodied people.

Wanting Boltz to Nutz to be more than just a biodynamic farm and supplier of natural remedies, Eric and Yvonne Boltz curated a space to welcome people of all abilities. Their state-of-the-art adaptive group kitchen and processing center is open to visitors, equipped with adaptive tools, equipment, and a growing number of wheelchair pathways.

Susan Reuter Moser - Grief Recovery Method Specialist

Susan’s journey to the Grief Recovery Institute began after her father’s death. She found the program life-changing and wants to share this valuable work with others. She has worked in the performing arts industry as a physical storyteller for thirty years. “As a dancer, educator, and choreographer to all ages, populations, and ability levels in several schools, universities, and my studio, I experience every day the need to help people find their voice. Movement and the arts are a way to open channels to the humane and create a safe, communal place to have painful conversations.” The Grief Recovery Method creates a similar experience by offering a beautiful model to help everyone bring voice to their story. “Loss is a part of life, and it is a regular conversation in my work. Becoming a Grief Recovery Method Specialist adds the depth and a dimension to my abilities to help people navigate loss and find a community of support.” Susan is available for group and one on one sessions.

Capabilities - Play For All Abilities

Capabilities is an indoor play gym geared towards 0-12 yrs. We do not have a set age limit to allow for cognitive differences. We are an inclusive space, and our mission is to create a place where ALL kids can come play amongst their peers and siblings. We have equipment for sensory seekers, wheelchair users, and meet a wide variety of fine/gross motor levels. We have medical grade exam tables in two private rooms for changing tables and have 3 ADA compliant bathrooms. We have a snack bar with drinks, snacks, and ice cream and a 500 sq. ft. party room available to book!

Howdy, Neighbors - Cincinnati Adaptive Events

Cincinnati Adaptive Events is a newsletter that provides information about activities, events, and programs offered in the greater Cincinnati area designed and/or adapted for those with disabilities. CAE collects and sends out information from a variety of organizations in the area that are either focused on the disability community or have adapted programs to allow access to those with special abilities.

Cincinnati Krav Maga

Cincinnati Krav Maga is Greater Cincinnati’s oldest dedicated Krav Maga training school, providing authentic Israeli self-defense instruction since 2013. Located in Blue Ash, the gym offers practical, real-world training designed to build confidence, improve fitness, and teach effective self-defense skills for teens, adults, and organizations. With experienced instructors and a supportive training environment, students learn techniques that prepare them to respond quickly and safely in real-life situations.
